Questions we get asked

Do I have to be a moving company?

No. Versee was built inside one, which is why the dispatch and job tracking are as specific as they are. But nothing in it is bolted to moving. Cleaning, HVAC, landscaping, detailing, junk removal, pest control, contractors: if you send people out to a customer, the whole thing fits.

The growth half fits even wider. Reviews, follows, raffles, points, and referrals work for any business with customers worth keeping, whether or not anyone leaves the building.

How does the raffle work?

You set it up: the prize, the rules, and when you draw. On the screen your customer sees after paying, they can follow you or share you on the accounts you picked.

Those follows and shares are tracked by click. You review and confirm them, and confirmed ones are entered into the raffle automatically. The confirmation step is deliberate. It keeps a click from being worth a prize on its own.

Can my team earn rewards too, not just customers?

Yes. Team members collect points on rules you write: reviews that name them, internal ratings from the office, shares and follows they brought in, jobs finished clean. You decide what the points are worth and what they can be traded for. Everyone can see their own balance.

How does location tracking work, and when is it off?

One team member per job, the person your dispatcher designates as the job’s tracker, shares location, and only while that job is en route or on site. The app records position roughly every 30 meters of movement, including when the phone is locked, so arrival times stay accurate.

Tracking stops when the job is completed or the tracker role is removed. Nobody is tracked off the clock, and a company can turn location off entirely for everyone. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

Can my customers see the app?

They don’t need to. Your customer gets a text with a tracking link and a portal link. Both are web pages, with no download and no account to create. They open them with a one-time code sent to their phone or email.

How do payments work?

Card and Apple Pay payments run through Stripe, entered in Stripe’s own secure fields. Versee never receives or stores card numbers, only the amount, the tip, the status, and a Stripe reference. Cash gets recorded in the same ledger. Money settles into your own Stripe account.

Can I keep my company's name on what my customers see?

Yes. Your company name and logo appear on the texts, the tracking page, the customer portal, documents, and receipts. Custom domains are on the roadmap.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

You can export it before the account closes. After that we delete or return your data within 90 days, except records we have to keep: the payment ledger and invoices for at least 7 years, and issued or signed documents, which are immutable by design. See Privacy Policy, section 6.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Delete your account. That page covers deleting a single user account and deleting an entire company account, what is kept and why, and how long it takes.

How do I remove a team member?

An owner or admin removes them in Settings → Team. Their access ends immediately. Their recorded hours, tips, and any documents they collected stay on the jobs they worked, because you and the law need those records. They just aren’t tied to an active login anymore.

Does Versee work without signal?

Once the app is open it keeps working through the dead spots your team actually hits: a basement, an elevator, a stretch of highway. It syncs when signal returns. It does need a connection to start cold, so plan for the app to be opened before service drops.

Which phones are supported?

iPhone and Android, plus any modern browser for the office. Background location for job tracking needs the team member to grant the location permission their phone asks for.

Where is my data stored?

In the United States, on infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest, and row-level access controls that isolate each company’s data from every other company’s.
