Delete your account
You can delete your Versee account and the personal information attached to it. This page explains exactly what happens, what we are required to keep, and how long it takes.
Deleting your user account
This applies to anyone with a Versee login: an owner, an admin, office staff, a team lead, or anyone out on jobs.
Email privacy@versee.us from the email address on your account, with the subject Delete my account. Tell us the company you work for so we can find the right record.
We verify the request against the email or phone number on the account, delete it, and email you a confirmation. You do not need to open a support ticket, explain yourself, or talk to anyone on the phone.
Deletion from inside the app (Settings → Account → Delete account) ships with the iOS release. When it does, this page is updated in the same release.
What gets deleted
Your login, name, email address, phone number, profile photo, push notification tokens, and any location history recorded under your account. This happens within 30 days.
What is kept, and why
Some records stay, in a form that no longer identifies you by name, because your employer and the law need them:
- hours worked, pay totals, tips, commissions, and payout records. These are financial and employment records, retained at least 7 years;
- documents you signed or collected on a job. These are immutable by design and retained for the life of the job record;
- the jobs themselves, which belong to the company you worked for.
If you own a company account
An owner cannot delete their own account while they are the only owner of a live company. Transfer ownership to another admin first, or delete the company account below.
Deleting a company account
Only an owner can do this, and it cannot be undone.
Email privacy@versee.us from the owner’s email address with the subject Delete my company account. We confirm the request with you before anything is deleted, and give you a chance to export your data first.
What gets deleted
Within 30 days: your customers and their contact details, jobs and schedules, location history, unissued documents, notes and files, messages and marketing data, and every user account that belongs only to your company. Your Stripe connected account is disconnected from Versee. You keep your own Stripe account and everything in it.
What is kept, and why
The payment ledger and invoices (at least 7 years, for tax and dispute purposes) and issued or signed documents, archived with customer identifiers minimized where the law allows and then deleted. These records are append-only by design and cannot be edited, including by us.
If you are a customer of a business that uses Versee
If a business booked your job using Versee, that company holds your records and controls them. Ask them to delete your customer record. If you cannot reach them, email privacy@versee.us and we will help. See the Privacy Policy, section 9.
